this afternoon my mom told me that our uncle passed away in FL. he's had a brain tumor for the last 3 years. we just saw him in november when we went to Orlando. how did we know that would be the last time we'd see him? it's so sad. he wasn't an uncle that we were terribly close to. he was my mom's cousin's husband (i think?), but we just called him uncle. who knows what his relation really is, but you know how hmong culture is...i remember him growing up...their family used to live in brooklyn center near us i think.
my mom said he passed away in the ambulance as they were driving him to the hospital. my aunt was holding his hand as they rode in the ambulance and then his hand just went limp...
sadness. life is so short. i grieve for him. and i grieve for a life cut short. i grieve for his family.
