Twitter

We joined twitter a while back but never really used it. Now it's pretty much on all the time. Our twitter feed can be found to the right of this blog near the top half of the page.

It's not that we have hordes of followers, it's more like we're a part of the community that is doing the following. I get a lot out of Twitter and learn things before most people do. I don't care if I know something before someone else does, that's not the point. I care more about sharing something, as opposed to saying I know something you don't know and I heard it first. That's just self-fulling bragging, it's so meaningless and selfish. Those are not my intentions with Twitter, my intentions are different. I enjoy Twitter, because I learn things from it. Like here are some tweets from Rick Warren, it's pretty powerful stuff! Just imagine getting random text messages that are designed to not only inform you, but to uplift and strengthen you. Here are the tweets:

Slandering people makes YOU inferior to THEM.

Revenge is admitting we don't know how to let go of pain constructively. It is the response of weakness.

To say "I forgive you, but I won't forget it" just means "I don't forgive you."

Here's Jack Dorsey, creator and co-founder of Twitter, speaking about 3 of the keys to Twitter's success:

1. Draw out your ideas.
2. Luck.
3. Iterration.

I have a fondness for his first idea: Draw it out. Much like how I love to write and put my thoughts into words, I love drawing and plotting out my thoughts and ideas as well.
