Notes from Erwin McManus' Artisan series:
You should not get up one single day of your life and let life come to you. But get up with the intent of giving life to the world through you.
It takes work to turn talent into skill. Some people have the natural talent to be brain surgeons. But we want them to be skilled, not someone who does it naturally. With discipline it becomes a skill.
Limitations don't limit you. They focus you and make you expand your creativity. There are only 3 primary colors to paint the world. There are only 12 notes to fill the world with sound.
Restrictions and boundaries make you more with less. They make you more of who you should be and less who you would be.
You're pursuing the wrong dream when you only find fulfillment when the dream is accomplished.
You know you're on the path of a God given dream if you enjoy the process.
How do I know I'm pursuing the right dream? When I'm willing to pay the price for that dream.
