Responsibility is keeping the promises you make to others.
Commitment is the act of making promises.
Discipline is the ability to keep these promises once you've made them to yourself.
When we start breaking our own promises we make ourselves think less of ourselves and our ability to keep promises. We then start to think less of ourselves, our ability, and worthiness to have promises made to us to be kept. In turn, it lowers our self-esteem.
