i LOVE hanging out with my nephews. on sundays after church we go to target and shop around and look at toys while we wait for uncle johan to finish up. the boys play with the toys and try on gear. on this particular day, xuying wanted to be captain america and chuseng wanted to be iron man with thor's hammer. =) i have SO much fun with them. it gets tricky when they have to use the bathroom - all 3 of us have to go. lol. but it's fun and we have a good time. they always crack me up! xuying is good at sharing toys with chuseng and he can be very considerate at times. chuseng likes to copy everything xuying does and mimick all of his actions. chuseng is really silly and thinks about food and candy before toys. hehe!
in the beginning of september, the gang biked up to duluth in 3 days. vern and johan didn't show up until the last day, but they had a great time with the others! the only thing that made me a little upset was that everyone cut through the state park when it was blocked off due to flooding. i didn't like hearing about how i almost lost my husband a couple of times when he almost fell over the ledge. that is scary!!! other than that, it was fun to see everyone achieve such a great feat! i commend them all. =) oh yeah, vern needs to get a helmet too, so that he won't get injured next time hehe. i'm glad he was okay in the end.
i'm really happy to see that my husband has life long friends. it's a true testament to their love and care for one another. they really have a lot of fun with each other and treat one another just like family. thanks everyone for your love. it's always fun hanging out with you guys.
recently johan & i have been going on dates with our friends, kelvin & katie, another couple who doesn't have any kids yet. it's nice to go to happy hour or do activities together that we all enjoy. we went to the italian festival last weekend and had an awesome time. here's a picture of the gondola rides down the river. hehe. hey-it's not venice, but it'll do for minnesota. lol!
another night we took them to our favorite sushi restaurant, social house in uptown. here's a picture of some yummy sushi we had! so beautiful, i almost didn't want to eat it. haha. we totally killed this plate of sushi and had another one about the same size. lol. we pretty much had to be rolled outta there.
on saturday night, a bunch of us went to the phil wickham concert. it was a great value for a night of awesome worship. josh, mk, second, linda, vern, lig, peter, johan, hoxav and i all went and pretty much took up a whole row. it was a really good time to be in corporate worship with other believers. i love how people will dance and wave their arms and give a shout depending on how the Spirit moves them.
well, life doesn't seem like it's going to slow down any time soon. i thought i was done traveling for work, but it looks like i'll have to go back down to cincinnati for another 2-3 weeks. johan is still busy as ever at work. his boss recently quit, so that puts even more weight on his shoulders. he is handling it well though. i feel like we really need a weekend away where we can escape reality for awhile. at least i do! haha.
for now, let me dream of being away in bora bora, soaking in the sun and going for a dip in the beautiful turquoise water, which will melt away all of my stress....hehe.

talk about double dating, we need to do wasabi again. that sushi looks CLAZY!
