Guitars

Ever since I've been able to successfully modify a bunch of pedals, mod my amp, and build my own pedal. I've been contemplating the idea of building an amp or modifying my guitar. I'm fine with doing work on a pedal because if you mess up, it's a $150 error. I'm willing to live with that as long as I learn something valuable from it. But if you mess up an amp or guitar, that's a much more costly error. Maybe after I get some more experience with building my own pedals, maybe modifying some cheap amps, and doing some simple mods to my own guitar, I'll start building my own amps and guitars.

I've been really tempted to put a Bigsby Tremolo on my G&L ASAT Special, but I'm really scared about drilling holes into my guitar.

I've also been tempted to buy an amp kit of either a Matchless Spitfire or Lightning, then I want to try to build my own Vox AC30. But amps can be dangerous, there's a lot of electricty flowing through them.

I've also been thinking about getting a 2nd electric guitar because my first one is getting a lot of wear & tear on it. I've always wanted a tele with 2 humbuckers in it like a Fender Classic Player Thinline Tele.

But instead of the stock pickups, I wanted to put in these: Seymour Duncan Hot PRails. These pickups can either be used as single-coils, P-90s, or as humbuckers. The versatility is amazing in these guys!

I love it when this song comes on the radio. You can download their CD from Amazon for $3.99, but that just for today though! HURRY!

Have a great weekend everyone!
