Friday
I got off of work late and so did Pajjar, I didn't pick up her up till about 5:40'ish downtown Mpls. Then Josh and I went to my worship pastor, Stefan Van Voorst's, concert at Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove, MN. But before we got there we went to a guitar shop and grabbed some dinner.

The concert was amazing! I had a great time! I honestly don't mind a little story telling at a concert because it allows me to connect with the song in a deeper way. Reach Media did a great job with lighting and production and the overall sound was amazing! The guitars sounded so pristine and loud! Just how I like it!
Josh and I had some great conversations and talked a lot about random things. We both left inspired to create and grateful for our friendship.
I got home late and had to start practicing for a James & Tina's wedding the next morning. A friend called me late Thursday night and then confirmed Friday afternoon that he needed a guitarist to play a couple of songs at the wedding. So I stayed up till about 2am figuring out parts and practicing.
Saturday
Got up around 6'ish and made my way to his church. Thank goodness that I practice! I felt like I was able to seemlessly join the rest of the band, add texture and space and not take away from it at all.
Practice ended around 10'ish, drove back home and picked up my beautiful wife, and made our way to the ceremony site at Northwestern College.
On the way there, one of my hubcaps fell off at the intersection of Snelling & County B. I pulled the Jetta over and ran back to go grab it. I was probably about 15 feet away from it, when a dang silver Honda ran over it! My hubcap shattered and shrapnel from it hit my face. Curses...
We did a quick soundcheck at the chapel and the wedding went by smoothly. Congrats to James and Tina!
The reception was fun. I thought the food was pretty good. We got to watch over our nephew Chuseng and he was so entertaining! Nephews and nieces are awesome!
Afterwards, I had a good 5 HOUR NAP! Then Pajjar and I went to go check out her cousin's band SWAG play downtown Minneapolis. They were great! They're a cover band that plays contemporary rock music like Kings of Leon, Muse and stuff from the 90s & 80s like AC/DC, Gin Blossums, etc. We even got a little souvenier to remember the night.
Sunday
We went to church at Open Door and Jen's sermon totally rocked us! I'm know that my church is about 30 minutes away but it gives my wife and I a chance to talk. Jen's sermon and our conversations were totally aligned. It's as if God was giving us a response to what Pajjar and I were talking about in the car. It was aweseome!
Afterwards, I got some Chipotle and Pajjar met up with a friend at Bryant Lake Bowl. Then we had some family come over, then I took a 2 HOUR NAP! This is the most I've ever napped in a weekend. I taught my brother-in-law some guitar and then hung out with family for the rest of the night.
It was a good weekend! Hopefully this next weekend will be even better! See you soon Chicago!
