we moved into our new place in august and it's been great so far. it took us awhile to get settled, but we are really loving it here. we used to live on the 4th floor at our last townhome/loft, but now we're on the first floor, so it's a lot easier to go to and from our cars.
last fall i took mandarin and it was okay. the teacher wasn't all that great, so i didn't learn much. if i could, i'd like to take japanese and spanish next year as well as brush up on my french. this semester i'm taking a creative writing course, which i think is actually harder than mandarin. LOL! i've only had one class so far, but i can tell it will be difficult to do personal reflections, be eloquent with my words, and expand my vocabulary beyond my limited range right now. (sadly, i spend too many of my nights watching tv as i let my brain cells die!)
johan is still looking for work and diligently playing guitar. that's one benefit of him losing his job so far is that he's had more time to play the guitar and get back into what he loves. johan loves getting up at 5AM on sunday mornings to go help the church get set up and rehearse for sundays. that's how i can tell he REALLY loves what he does. he gladly gets out of bed and drives 40 mns to church to get there by 6 or 6:30 AM, where i, on the other hand, will be quite irate if you even try to wake me up that early. haha. i love it when he plays the guitar because (1) i see how much joy it brings him and (2) he's truly got a gift!
we ALSO haven't blogged since august because both of my sisters had babies! my sister, mitchia, and her husband, yao, had baby kashia in september. she is their first child:
then my sister, gaojai, and her husband, jason, had baby olivia in november. she is their third child:
aren't they adorable? so as you can imagine we've been quite busy visiting the new baby girls in the family. it's been all about the babies! we've been helping babysit gaojai and jason's two boys to give them a break too. they like to sleepover and have fun with us. i must admit, we are really awesome! :D
you may be thinking right now: when will we have kids? it's been the question of the year let me tell you. everyone and their mom (literally) has been asking us this question. and we will tell u what we've told them: we don't know! haha.
can't wait to start catching up with u guys!

Nice to see you guys back too! Guess I'm not the only one. Glad that Johan is turning his situation into something he has passion for. Unfortunately for me, I'd probably just lay around being really unproductive!
Look at those cuties! Keep them away from me. I've got major baby fever lately as my Gurhlie has turned into a toddler. :(
