goodbye 2009!

i can't believe 2009 is ending. as i reflect on all the things this past year brought us, im amazed because its so easy to take God's blessings for granted. i thought that 2009 wasn't that momentous, but as i think about all the events that happened in my life, i am completely humbled. its so easy for me to blow things off, but its another thing to reflect and weigh in on the positive things God brought me through. its all because of Jesus that i'm still standing here and im so thankful for His love, mercies, and grace. =D here are some things i thought of that happened in 2009:

-achieved my best academic semester in law school getting on the dean's list
-kicked off the summer with a trip to my brother's graduation from brown university by visiting NYC, boston, and providence, RI
-had my best experience in law school clerking for a judge in hennepin county with two great law clerks
-visited las vegas and stayed at caesar's palace with johan
-josh and maikao came back from shanghai and we got to hang out in IL a couple of times
-started the fall with u2's 360 concert in chicago's soldier field
-vacationed in FL with my parents and 2 little brothers
-finished my FINAL semester in law school (nothing in particular about it, just because it was my LAST semester haha)

and finally, celebrating our ONE year anniversary!

it's been a wonderful year being married. it's one of the best decisions ive ever made in my life. i never imaged that being married would be this fun and fulfilling. johan is my partner in life. i share everything with him and love going through everything in life with him. love ya hun!

like johan posted earlier, we are going out for sushi tonite with our friends katie and kelvin. then tomorrow morning we are going to celebrate the new year with my family with a huge delicious brunch! i hope everyone has a wonderful new year's eve and despite wat 2009 was like for you, i hope you have much faith for the new year in 2010. there's much to be hopeful for when we have God in our lives!
