Batman and Bitterblossom

So Pajjar and I spent the night at my inlaws, or as Josh likes to call them, the outlaws. We woke up at 5 am to drop them off at the airport because they’re going to Annual Conference. Then we came back to Chanhassen to watch Jason and Gao Jai’s baby boy Xuying. Who’s been such a good boy all day.

So yeah, the Batman movie comes out in three weeks. I just watched the trailer and they introduced Harvey Dent. And then there was a scene where it seem like he was tied up and laying in a pool of gasoline. And then it clicked in my head. Harvey Dent… wait… that’s Two Face! Awesome!

We’re going to drafting Future Sight this Sunday and I’m excited! I want to get a Tarmogoyf but after thinking about it for a while, I realized that Bitterblossom is a better card. I would be willing to trade a Tarmogoyf for two Bitterblossoms. It’s easier to get rid of creatures then it is enchantments. Granted Tarmagoyf is $50 and Bitterblossom is around $15, but I think the Bitterblossom boom is upon us. Granted Bitterblossom hurts you but by the time you’ve lost 4 life, technically you should have been able to hurt your opponent for 6 life. Plus if they get rid of Bitterblossom, they still have to deal with those tokens. Also if they Wrath/Damnation/Pyroclasm, Bitterblossom is still there. Plus Bitterblossom is dirt cheap with a casting cost of 2. I think that all decks, if possible, should have a splash of black with some dual lands and throw in 4 Bitterblossoms into their decks.

Parting words from one of my favorite Batmen of all time:
Penguin! Joker! Riddler! And Cat Woman too! The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate!
