bunch o' things

I’ve been wanting to post up these pics for awhile, but due to finishing classes last week and my uncle’s surgery, I wasn’t able to. here are pictures from lysa and xay’s wedding! We’re so happy for you guys! *sigh* it was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was filled with great weather, great talks, and great friends. I really didn’t know anyone there, but it was wonderful to catch up with the ones I did know. all in all, we are so happy for you guys and can’t wait for you to start experiencing married life! We never did get to take that honeymoon together. =( how bout a raincheck, eh guys? hehe.

Johan is busy working and going to school right now. It’ll be winding down in about 2 weeks I think? Summer school ended for me last week, however, I still have some things to do this summer like trying out for moot court. I really didn’t want to but a friend talked me into being his partner, so hopefully we’ll do well?! The argument is tomorrow, so wish us luck!

I must admit, ive turned into a crazy fanatic of the twilight series! I know, I know, I poked fun at my brother for reading them last summer, and here I am reading them myself. The books were lying on my brother’s dresser, so I figured I’d give it a try and read them since school was out. Little did I know I would become so infatuated with the books that I wouldn’t put them down at all since Thursday! Haha. I finished all 3 books over the weekend, but that wasn’t very hard to do, given the books are for young adults.

The author writes the characters out so distinctively and descriptively that I can’t help but feel they’re a part of my reality! Or maybe I’m a part of their reality? Either way, ive been sooooo engrossed and captivated by the books that I almost seem a little obsessive. Haha. I can’t remember the last time I was that into a book that I could not put it down. I think it may have been almost 3 years ago when I was in California when I read this French book. It seems so silly reading about a girl falling in love with the “ultimate unavailable guy” – a vampire. But here I am following the characters and their stories, falling into their imaginary world filled with myths and folklores, and feeling a little hazy when I have to come back to MY reality because my head has been filled with all these wondrous, frantic, scarey, and hopeful thoughts. It’s been AWESOME! Haha.

Johan’s enjoyed it because he gets to talk about vampires and werewolves with me, which honestly has been fun. :p I think it’s just been such a relief to read about anything other than cases. And the fact that it IS about vampires and werewolves has been really fun for my imagination whereas what im used to reading is all about boundaries, rules, and strict enforcement of laws.

On that note, ive been wondering where im going with law school. I talked to numerous people today about how lost I feel, but hey—that’s another post! God bless, love, pj

p.s. i loved the dark knight! BATMAN, you have always been my favorite super hero. hehe. i wont say much bout it, since i promised johan he could
blog about it. *wink*
