The Cubs! They lost tonight but it's okay. Fukudome is in a major slump, I think he needs a day off. What's up with Dempster's glove twist thing? *shrug* It must be working because he's like 14-5. Watching Rich Harden pitch the other day where he struck out 10 guys, reminded me of the days of Mark Prior and when Kerry Wood's started. I like Rich Harden a lot. We did lose some nice players but I'll take Rich for this year and the next year. My prediction: Rich Harden will pitch in the game that the Cubs win the World Series.
You know what, after the Brewers lose Sabathia and Ben Sheets, they're still going to be a pretty good team. They'll still have Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, and Yiovanni Gallardo. If Gallardo was still healthy, the race for the NL central would be way closer.
The Twins have a two week road trip ahead of them with about 6 weeks of baseball left, because of the Republican National Convention. It's been exciting living up in Minnesota because of the Twins. I believe that if the Cubs adopted some of the Twin's philosophy in regards to their organization and their stress of fundamentals, the Cubs would be a way better team. The Twins' starting rotation consist of Francisco Liriano (25 years old, who is lights out), Nick Blackburn (26 years old, 9-7), Kevin Slowey (22 years old, 10-8), Scott Baker (27 years old, 7-3), Glen Perkins (25 years old, 10-3). With Joe Nathan closing games, this team is built on their pitching and their defense.
HEY! White Sox will be in town Sept. 23-25! Who wants to go!
I think the Twins will win the AL Central and the White Sox will win the Wild Card. The Rays will win the East, meaning that the Red Sox and Yankees will not be in the playoffs. Hahahaha. Take that you corporate TV CEOs!!!
