Family & Friends

this past weekend was so busy! on friday, some of the family came up for the funeral. it was great to see everyone, but better yet to be a part of their family gathering for this difficult occassion. johans relatives asked me to help sing a song with them for the funeral on sunday nite and it was a great honor to be a part of that. i felt nervous because i didn't really know wat i was doing, but in the end it was a nice song for the family to reflect about their grandmother, mother, and friend.

the kids were so much fun! riley and kameron were so adorable; we wished that we could have spent more time with them so they would get to know us better and feel more comfortable around us. we hope in the future that they'll get to know uncle johan and aunt pajjar better. :)

i also really enjoyed getting to know johans relatives this past weekend. everyone is super kind and i couldn't ask for a better family to join. it is such a blessing to belong to a family that is so open and caring. it's been this way from day one and i am so happy to belong to this family. i really look forward to befriending people on his side of the family, who is my family now too.

i miss my family, especially my little brothers! but its been nice to hang out with other little cousins, nephews, and nieces. last week my cousin's daughters: gabby, natalie, and madeline sleptover for a nite and it was awesome! we went swimming, baked cookies, watched spongebob, painted nails, and did girly things! johan handled it all very well. hehe.

this week i start skool on thursday. i can't believe the summer has already gone by and passed! i only have one class this week on thursday and no classes on friday, so thats a relief. johan will work up until friday and then quit since he starts skool on monday. we are debating whether or not to visit our family during labor day weekend. we have to see if our finances will allow us to do that, but we really want to check out the house, church, and see our brothers since we know they're lonely. also we found out that geu, sam, & the kids will be up in warren during that same weekend, so even more reason to go!

well i hope everyone is doing well. we missed you guys a couple of weekends ago....we wish that we could have been there to chill with yalls. we haven't hung out with vern and everyone lately either, so we feel kind of out of the loop. take care and have a wonderful monday guys!
