I don't know who these guys are and I don't know any about their organization but I'm totally taken by them. Watching this video and listening to them talk has just totally inspired me to be more creative. I know they're talking in the context of advertising but what if the church took this approach? What if the church was delivered in such a way you felt that you were in the midst of the most creative people in the world? What if the church actually cared about design? What if those those who worked and volunteered at a church did their best and worked at their most creative?
You don't need to watch all of it now but I do recommend that you watch it twice or spend a couple of hours with it and just take it all in.
One reason why I love North Point Ministires is because they care about design and being creative. Here's a clip from 7:22:
I'm not a huge technology junkie and I know that we don't need the bright lights and loud music to effectively do this. But to me it seems like sometimes church is haphazardly thrown together. Sometimes it seems like those praying on stage pray more on stage then they do off the stage.
What if the Church wanted to deliver the Gospel as effectively as they could through all mediums available to them? Here's another video from North Point Ministries:
I really believe that design is important. It's an honor to use design to praise God. I just hope that the Hmong church starts to put more effort in the way they design they way they deliver the Gospel.
