Last Random Post of the Year

I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas, Pajjar and I sure did! We visited my family in Dixon, then visited my in-laws in Warren, MI, and drove for a total of 26 hours, all in the span of 5 1/2 days! I won't be needed a road trip for a while.

This past Christmas, I got to play some Magic against Jeremiah and Yij Geu. I've got complete reports for the guys up here in MN. Pretty much, we shouldn't underestimate anybody and the guys in IL have some dang good cards. I'm talking about 4 Tezzerets & 3 Sarkhan Vols (maybe even 4). They've got some good cards down there in IL.

Pajjar asked me if I won when I played agaisnt Yij Geu and Jeremiah. I said, "Yeah I did, but I did lose too." Then she asked, "Why?" "They have some good cards," I replied. "Well, I support you if you need to buy some more Magic cards in order for MN to win this IL vs. MN thing." *I was shocked!*

I just got back from a lunch buffet with one of my coworkers and made a very interesting observation. Miskas people don't eat a lot at buffets, while I can eat 3-4 plates, maybe even 5. Once they hit thier 2nd plate they're honestly full. I honestly could of ate more but didn't want to rude.

It's New Year's Eve and I have yet to make any plans. Hopefully I can get a game or two of Magic in. Plus, Monster's Den is doing a Standard Tournament tonight. It starts @ 9pm, costs $7, but winner gets a box. Plus, they'll be drafting all night till 7am. DUSK TO DAWN!!! It's $10 per draft, that includes your 3 packs. We'll see if I can make it there.

Earlier this year, I remember being blown away by the Elf Ball deck during Pro Tour Berlin. That same weekend I went up to Outpost 2000 and bought 4 Glimpse of Nature, 4 Summoner's Pact, and 4 Wirewood Symbiotes for about $12 total. Now when I look on eBay, I could easily sell those 12 cards for about $60. Might as well just do it. I don't see myself playing too much extended in the future.

I've bought more movies in the past couple of weeks then I have in the past couple of years. Pajjar and I went to Blockbusters last night and bought 3 movies! Crazy!

I also got Shawshank Redemption for Christmas. It's such a good movie. I love movies with accountants, like this one and Stranger Than Fiction. I also want to see 7 Pounds.
