"How Would God Run the Church?"

I love groupzines! I’ve been reading my Catalyst GroupZines and they’ve opened my eyes! If you don't know what Catalyst is, it's an organization focused on building the next generation church leader? Just check out this clip:

Groupzines are large magazines that come out quarterly filled with amazing content! People like Andy Stanley, John Maxwell, David Crowder, Donald Miller, Erwin McManus, Eugene Peterson (the Message Bible guy), Craig Groeschel (pastor of the most innovative church in America, LifeChurch, according to Outreach Magazine), Bill Hybels, etc. write about stuff that every church leader should know.

And guess what! Relevant Magazine's Neue has a quarterly magazine coming out! Have you guys checked out their webpage yet? It’s amazing! You have to listen to the podcast with Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Guy), also check out their FREE DOWNLOADS! WOOP WOOP!

I love reading this stuff because, well honestly, because I want to start something up here. But at the same time I’m not sure if I’m going to be up here in 5 years. But wouldn’t it be cool to go to a church that you could bring your secular friends to and not be ashamed? A place where they could honestly say “That wasn’t too bad, it was pretty good. The music was good, I was surprised when the band started to play Coldplay. I thought that it was weird that there were homeless people there too, but it was cool at the same time. I liked it, I liked how they were so committed to the community and how they would rather fund an after school program then put a down payment on a new sanctuary. Now I know I’ve told you that I think that Jesus is a great role model but it’s been Christians that drive me away from the church, but there’s something unique about this place.”

I’m reading like I’ve never read before! I’m reading and loading up because when the opportunity comes, I want to be ready!
