Jeremy is from the Twin Cities and has been on constant rotation in my iTunes. There’s something unique about him but yet very familiar. I think it’s because he’s kinda like a happy Elliot Smith and a toned down Sufjan Stevens. But what really hits it home for me is that his music is like the soundtrack for a twenty-something year old and that he sings about the Twin Cities like in songs like Skyway, Lightrail, or Franklin Avenue.To all my single guy friends, you guys gotta listen to “Beautiful Children” which is free off his myspace page (just google: Jeremy Messersmith myspace). This song will break your heart! Right into a million pieces!!!
