Some of My Favorite Worship Leaders

So last night Pajjar and I went to BestBuy and I found a Vox AC50 212 Combo for $800! Then we went to Guitar Center and I found a Vox AC30 212 Combo for $800! Man do I want a new amp! I also want a ukulele, a banjo, a concertina (a small accordion), a POD XT3, a small drum set, a midi keyboard, Sting's Fender bass, etc. Man! Because of HC3 I really want to become a better worship leader, praise God! Here are some of my favorites!

Brandon Grissom (a worship pastor at Willow Creek, discovered him from Neue.com.)

Check it out! He’s got a Gibson like Josh’s! His guitar strap even looks like Josh’s! It’s a sign Josh! God wants you to lead again!

Laura Story (What! You've never heard of her? Chances are you've heard her songs though. She's the original writer of Indescribable, popularized by Chris Tomlin, and writer of Mighty to Save, popularized by Hillsong; discovered from Neue.com)
An amazing song writer with an amazing story!

Phil Wickham
(if you go to his website you can download a free live CD!!!)

One of my favorite Phil Wickham songs, it’s got a killer bridge section.

Stephan Van Voorst (one of the main reasons why I love going to the Church of the Open the Door, the worship, sometimes lead by Stephan)
Be the Church
St. Patrick’s Breastplate
Instruments of Peace
Change the World (my personal favorite)

Eddie Kirkland (use to be on staff at Passion Ministries with Louie Giglio but now is a worship pastor at Louie Giglio’s church, North Point)
Lift High
Sweetest Mystery

Chrystina Lloree Fincher (Seriously! This lady is dang good! Your Love is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs. She is also on staff at North Point church.)
You Are God
Your Love (The chorus in this song will literally make you cry!)

Casey Darnell (another worship pastor from North Point)

I used to get this guy and Steve Fee mixed up but then I saw both of them on stage at the same time and then it clicked in my head that they were different people. *too funny!*

Al Gordon (This guy is the other worship pastor at Tim Hughes’ church)
How Long
Because of Your Love

Aaron Niequist (This guy is really creative! I mean REALLY CREATIVE! He use to lead at Willow Creek for five years and then went to Mars Hill for 4.5 years and consulted Rob Bell with the music on the Nooma series. He just released an album too! This guy is by far, my favorite worship leader of all time!!! That's right! ALL TIME FAVORITE! THIS GUY IS A GENIUS! Sometimes he'll lead at a gathering up here in MN called The Upper Room, that's where I first discovered him. You know, I think one reason why people who visit Mars Hill don’t like it is because their music is sometimes “weird.” And when I say weird I mean to both Christian and to the non-Christians. But I love it! Check out this link. Check out the "Drumline Sunday," the "Alt-Country Sunday," and the "String Quartet" Sunday. They'll blow you away!)
Changed
Love Can Change the World
All Sing Hallelujah (This is such a good song! I wish you could hear the whole song!)

Hey man, if you made it this far then thanks! It means a lot to me! This is a passion of mine and I'm hope that you've enjoyed it as much as I have. There are a load of awesome unknown worship pastors out there that in my opinion are better then Chris Tomlin or Hillsong. Just think about it, there are thousands of worship pastors out there who are honing their skills and working over 40 hours a week to get the worship environment just right for Sunday service. These people have written amazing songs and have a wealth of knowledge!

Johan, I love how you always spur me on towards acts of faith. I just bought a new guitar. It's a hummingbird ripoff. And it sounds pretty good. I know talk is cheap. But I'm trying to write songs. Thanks for the post. PEACE.

p.s. Good job on the tournament.
