The Rise, Fall, and Resurrection of EDH

Up here in MN, we spent a little time and money on our EDH decks, then some of the IL guys built some EDH decks as well. Then it was confirmed through an email that we would be playing EDH for Summer Slam, which never really happened. So most of us up here in MN invested more money and time into our EDH decks. But alas, as the summer went on, we no longer were going to have Summer Slam, maybe a Sealed tournament at best.

Most of our EDH decks up here in MN have been stripped apart. I think maybe Vern still has his and Peter. I just need to figure out my mana base and my EDH will be back up and running. I believe Isiah took his EDH decks apart and made a Type 4 with it.

I've been really itching to play EDH with the new Planechase cards! Just imagine playing EDH with this in play!

Imagine in a game of EDH, were all non-land permanents could be destroyed or your life being set at 20! Either would be halarious things to happen in a casual game of EDH!

I'm going to try to pick up all of these Planechase cards over the next year. I think with the resurgence of Type 4, it should naturally lead the more casual players to building EDH decks, but we'll see. I personally hope for a resurrection of more casual formats, like EDH.

Works been crazy and so has this week...

I still have my Thrull EDH deck, it's all theme or tribal based, and thats it lol. I put in many other weaker cards just because I wanted Thrulls. But it does what it does, and thats making Thrulls.
