Weekend Wrap Up

The weekend went by too fast!!! Way too fast!!!

What also has been going by way too fast? Pajjar and my money! This morning I was looking at eBay because I got this 10% off coupon that expires today. I was planning on buying some Magic cards, maybe a Zendikar box & Fat Pack, with it but then I got a text from Pajjar saying, “No more clothes or Magic cards until we pay off some of our bills.” But she said it more supportive and cuter than that. I just didn’t want induce a gag from all of you reading this post.

So here’s the plan: TRY to setup a BUDGET! I know that that “B” word is a dreaded word and sorry that I didn’t warn you before I said it but we’re going to try to setup a BUDGET. But once it’s set; it’ll set a guideline for what Pajjar and I can spend on clothes and hobbies. I know it’s going to take a while, because budgets take time getting use to and it’s never perfect, there’s a constant adjusting of numbers to make it work. But the point is to TRY to establish one and TRY to commit to it. Half the battle of making a system work is committing to it.

This past weekend Blong, Peter, Second, and I went to the Regional Zendikar Pre-Release. We all bombed! I technically went 2-2 and got a pack. In the final round I was 1-2 and my opponent was 2-1, so proposed that I could lose this match, making him 3-1 and winning 4 packs as opposed to me winning and both of us winning just 1 pack. He agreed and we played out our match just for fun, which I won in 3 games. Good thing he agreed to take my proposal. I would have still offered him the lost for a pack regardless. Before the Pre-Release, I haven’t played Magic for a good 2 weeks and man was I rusty. I was missing triggers like crazy. I kept on forgetting my Allies trigger themselves when they come into play. Man… I could have totally gone 3-1 if I remembered my triggers! Oh well… I think Blong and Peter went 1-3. Afterwards, Peter, Blong, Second, Chong, and Vern were going to go to the Source to booster draft but the Source ran out of product! Crazy…

I didn’t get to see the Bears game which annoyed me. Curse you NFL for wanting to make money in every sneaky and unfair way you can!

Tonight’s game should be good. I like watching the Panthers play because they’re my kind of team. Good defense w/ a consistent offense. Plus they have some play makers on both sides of the field. It should be a good game tonight.
