Here's a screen shot of my deck on MTGonline.com. My screen name is Ncuab, in case you guys don't have me saved as one of your Buddies. Everytime I do well I'll try to post up a screen shot of my deck.
For a while there I felt like I was about to go infinite with my Kor deck. I think if I could of played in the ZBC tournament on a daily basis, like most pros, as opposed to every other week, I honestly think I could have won close to about 700 tix in ZEN boosters. But due to time constraints, work, and school, I was limited in time. It felt good to be winning that much ZEN Block, but yet at the same time ZEN Block started to get boring. Block is a very stagnant format! But I agree with a lot of pros, Block is a great way to go infinite on MTGO.
I definitely want to try going infinite again but my Kor deck is no longer Tier 1. I might have to dump a good $50 into MTGO again to build a W/U control deck or a Vampire deck. All I'll have to do is get two 3-1 finishes and I would of paid off my initial $50 investment to build my new Tier 1 deck. But alas, I've hit an interesting delima...
I prefer to play Magic in real life, not on my Mac. I prefer to play Magic against friends, not random strangers. I like to hold real cards in my hand, not a mouse. Plus, up here in MN, I have lots of options to play Magic.
Josh, one reason why you and Mai Kao should move up to MN is because there are a lot of great places to play Magic.
Most of these locations are less than 30 minutes away, most of them are around 15-25 mintues away from Vern's place. Some are over 30 minutes away, but still that's still way better than trying to commute 45 minutes to play 3 rounds of Magic at Graham Crackers or 90+ minutes to Niles, IL to play at Pastimes.

I didn't even list all of the locations or event because there are so many. Games by James is also trying to open up another Tournament Center in the Maplewood area next year because in the past couple of years, we've lost Air Traffic (Maplewood), Epic Cards (White Bear Lake), and Unicorn Games (Oakdale).
Misty Mountain North is also the home of Legion Events. These guys are the Premier Tournament Organizers in the midwest. They recently held GP: Mpls with over 1,000 participants as well as US Nationals in Kansas City this past year. They have a huge location where they hold States, Regionals, PTQs, GPTs, Game Days, official Regional Pre-Releases, and Release Events. Plus if there are big events like (GPs, Worlds, etc.) being held that day, that are streaming their Feature Matches, they show it on a big projection screen and they hold events all day.
Plus, most of us guys are always up to playtesting any night of the week if we're not busy.
There are a lot of Magic options up here in MN, consider this when you two make a decision in the next 6 months. It would be great to have the two of you up here in MN!

no. don't try to sway my only real life play partner!! :)
I totally have the same feelings about paper magic vs Magic online. I get kinda bored of playing online. Zen Block constructed. I've been wanting to play but have been too lazy to see what's good in Block!! Standard daily's are tough to win, let alone go 3-1. I just went 2/2 yesterday and got kinda sad losing my 6 tix!!
It's awesome to see you posting good results with the kor deck. I think i'll give Zen block a shot later this week sometime!!
In paper magic you're totally right. I jump around with too many decks. Prior to Zen being released, I had the same issue, and then I told myself that I won't be doing this. And then I find myself in the same position all over again!!
I've been on a quest to find a deck that I really enjoy playing, dynamics and all, and the deck that I've played the most is Jund, as that's my only MODO deck too. The issue boils down to I really just don't enjoy playing it.
Now that Worlds is done, I hope that I can commit for sure to a deck. I think it's gunna be G/W/x, but once again, 'we'll see'.
Heard you guys won't be in town this weekend? Sads!! We'll be there Thursday morning at latest so we hope to see you guys before you're off!
wow...that is truly a compelling case. mai kao and i have been doing some random job searches just to see what's there.
actually, the deck i've played the most is jund as well. i mean its the first deck i run any deck into so having played against it and with it, i am super comfortable with it. watching worlds was pretty cool. seeing jund and naya in action from an outsiders perspective was cool. depending on the meta, if it was jund/aggro heavy i'd play turbo fog or nissa.
my mtgo is not working and i have to redownload it. aside from that, i dont want to spend money on it so i'm only going to use MTGO to practice drafting.
josh out
forgot to ask -- how'd worship go last week?
for real! I so wanted more turkey! And I hate getting old! haha.
it's been forever since i've play mtgo. maybe i'll draft sometime this weekend.
Yes, the options are endless up here, and I have been going to them too, lol. They most definitely keep track of groups, and they even compete for us too. They are always asking for us to come back. About the only place that doesn't really care is The Source, because they are ALWAYS going to get the new players, and you do not want to lose to the veterans with low score there lol. Monster's Den has a collection of really tough players too. These store secretly keep track man, I tell ya.
Thats kind of the first reason why we started taking notice in our rankings. You don't get respect why the amount of times you go, you get respect when your group walks in the building, and they all go, "dang it, more real competition."
we are starting to bump into the good players up here more and more, and when they check our scores, they immediately laugh probably.
Xay, I consider you part of our group up here, even though you live all the way down there. we need to get our team up. i don't take pleasure in beating up on one of the guys if they aren't getting any better from it. and lately, i have decided to never roll over for anybody, because that doesn't make them better either.
