Were you a straight A student or a student who got A's and got C's? Malcom Gladwell, is what he calls, a variable student, he earned both A's and C's in school. There is no doubt that Malcolm is one of the greatest thinkers/leaders/culture makers in our society. He feels that the vast majority of people are variable students. It's okay to do well in areas that you feel are interesting and not do well in areas that you think are boring. This is natural but society believes that we should get A's across the board, that you should get a 4.0, and be a Jack-of-all-trades. *Interesting huh?*
“Those with health insurance are overinsured and their behavior is distorted by moral hazard. Those without health insurance use their own money to make decisions based on an assessment of their needs. The insured are wasteful. The uninsured are prudent. So what's the solution? Make the insured a little more like the uninsured.”
