Conflux

Okay so after looking at some of the Conflux spoiler cards from MTGSalvation.com. All I can say is that I am glad I am a fan of 5-Color Control! :)

Basic landcycling - a new ability :)

Domain - a new ability where it matters how many of each basic lands you have

Conflux - 3WUBRG - Sorcery - Search your library for a white card, a blue card, a black card, a red card, and a green card, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your library. (I'll grab a Wrath of God, a Cryptic Command, a Cruel Ultimatum, a Pyroclasm, and... oh! Another Conflux!)

Fusion Elemental - WUBRG - Creature - 8/8 (an 8/8 Elemental w/ no drawbacks! I personally am going to play this card with my Windbrisk Heights. I attack with three Kithkins and activate my Windbrisk Heigths to play an 8/8 ELEMENTAL!!!)

Obelisk of Alara - 6 - Artifact -
1W, T: You gain 5 life.
1U, T: Draw a card, then discard a card.
1B, T: Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn.
1R, T: Obelisk of Alar deals 3 damage to target player
1G, T: Targe creature gets +4/+4 until end of turn

Better pick up some Relfecting Pools now before they get even more ridiculous. Also pick up some Prismatic Omens. I think you should be able to wait out on Birds of Paradise. While you're at it, pick some Fullminator Mages. I have a feeling these guys might go up in price.

It also seems like 11th Edition will be coming out in August. The final Shards expansion set is due out in May. This probably means that Lorwyn/Morningtide will stay in Standard rotation for another year. That is unless they reprint some Lorwyn/Morningtide cards in 11th, allowing them to drop 10th, Lorwyn, & Morningtide this summer. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
