The Weekend

Okay, so I don't have a FNM Battle Report for everyone today but I still have some goodies!

On Friday night Pajjar and I went to the Mall of America. It was really nice to spend time together and unwind from a long couple of weeks. We both went to Chipotle, walked around, shopped, and then went to go watch "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

Here's my review of the movie: It was honestly a good movie! People have their reservation about Brad Pitt and movies like this but it was honestly a good movie. The theatre was packed and this older guy next to me, he was probably in his 50's, was crying towards the end. This movie is one of those rare movies that is so deep and covers so many aspects of life.

Overall, David Fincher is an awesome director!!! When I heard that he was doing another movie with Brad Pitt all I could think about was how awesome Se7en & Fight Club were. Two movies that David Fincher also directed. I thought that the Curious Case of Benjamin Button was going to be another awesome, suspenseful, dramatic guy movie! But it wasn't, but it was still very good. Great Job David Fincher! I like your movies!

On Saturday, Baby Xuying stopped by and we got baby sit him for a couple of hours. He's super cute and super curious! He's a joy to watch!

Then later that night, Sam, Yij Geu, Riley, and Kameron stopped by! Oh yeah! It was awesome! We stayed up a little bit just talking and watching the babies. Then on Sunday we went to Perkins for breakfast and went on a "Wild Goose Chase" for a rice cake maker. We finally found one at a Hmong store for $250! That's crazy! I love rice cakes but not for $250!

We then stopped by Verns for a couple of minutes so that Sam and Yij Geu could see baby Wesley.

Bonus! Here are some decks that I've been wanting to play test but haven't had the the time.

Aaron Nicastri's 2008 Worlds deck. It went 6-0 on Stnd day.

1 Burrenton Forge-Tender
4 Figure of Destiny
4 Kitchen Finks
4 Mogg Fanatic
3 Murderous Redcap
4 Ranger of Eos
3 Reveillark
2 Siege-Gang Commander

4 Ajani Vengeant
4 Mind Stone
4 Spectral Procession

And here's another one that's been getting talked about on forums. It's been doing well on some M:TGO Premier Events.

4 Swans of Bryn Argoll
1 Oona, Queen of the Fae

4 Cryptic Commands
4 Broken Ambitions
3 Tidings
2 Seismic Assaults
4 Pyroclasms
4 Incinerates
4 Magma Sprays
etc.
