Tropic Thunder

I don't know why I'm thinking about Tropic Thunder at work but I am. Here are some of my random thoughts from that movie.

I can see why many Human Rights Organizations disapprove of this movie's stance on mentally handicapped people. I know that this movie was supposed to be a parody of Hollywood, but still I've always taken the word "retard" as somewhat demeaning. I've never heard that word, "retard," said so many times in 2 hours.

That little kid that played the Drug Lord was fun to watch. It's hard for me to see a real kid shoot a bazooka but yet at the same time I was sold that it was for real. Hollywood is funny.

That movie had a lot of funny one-liners. My favorite was when Robert Downey Jr. said "I don't drop character until the DVD commentaries" or something like that. That line is almost brilliant to me.
