school's starting!

it's sunday evening. im sitting at home on my couch. im totally lounging! im trying to enjoy the last few moments of leisure before my first "official" day of class tomorrow. it will be my last spring semester at w-mitchell. i have to say, i am quite excited! i can't wait to graduate!! at the same time im scared out of my mind, but i can't wrap my head around that yet. all i know is: im going to be done by the end of this year! it's the beginning of the end. =)
johan's playing magic at vern and lig's house. isiah and vipat came up for the weekend, so johan's been spending more time at vern and blong's house than at his own home haha. its pretty kool, im glad that he's having so much fun with his buddies. unfortunately i had to come home earlier since i had to prep for tomorrow. i actually don't have classes till tuesday, but i gotta work and take an exam thats due on wednesday. before i do anything thats productive, i thought i'd blog! hehe.
last week we went swing dancing. my brother took his girlfriend out for a special nite b/c she missed out on her prom. (he's such a sweetheart!) here they are in front of the limo he rented for their date:

since my brother invited us along, me & johan, my sister & her husband, and my brother-in-law & his gf tagged along. it was pretty fun. it was also pretty funnie hahaha. johan and i were TOTALLY NOT in sync with each other. he was mechanical and wanted to get all the steps down perfect. i, on the other hand, wanted to just mess around and have fun. towards the end of the evening, this old man dug his heel right into my right foot and i was yelling, "it hurts! it hurts!" that was pretty much the end of my dancing for the nite. :p

afterwards we went to eat at this authentic mexican restaurant and we all agreed it was the best mexican food we've ever had. yum! johan did say he'd go dancing again in the future. =) here are some pics from our fun nite swing dancing and eating at the mexican restaurant:

this semester im taking 3 classes and i have 2 internships. i also will continue to work my 2 part-time jobs. i really would like to learn mandarin this new year, volunteer as a tutor at Cityview-an inner-city school, and refresh my french language skills if possible. i have to be cautious though b/c whenever a new semester starts i get overly ambitious and then a month into it, i get totally burnt out. soooo--we'll see, hehe. maybe if i could do just one of those 3 things, ill be happy with myself.

on a sidenote, ive been thinking about signing up for facebook. everybody's on it these days! my boss is on it, my hairstylist even asked me if i was on facebook lol. i quit myspace before coming to law school, only to find out everybody in law school is on facebook and myspace. im hesitant b/c i dont like how everyone can see the comments you leave for other people, yet it seems like everyone is on there.....any thoughts? join or not join?

alrite, i should get going. it's 11:40 pm and i haven't even glanced at my exam yet. =/ have a great week everyone! goodnite.

i have a facebook, and i'm relatively new to it, but i'm not sure if i like it yet or not. some of the features are pretty dumb & useless. but i have reconnected with lots of old friends from it. if you don't want people seeing your comments, then maybe you can just send them a private message instead. :)

ok. this is yuck. but looking at the last picture, since i've never seeen them in real life, your brother and his girlfriend looks like my brother (peter) and my sister Pang. funny, huh?

you can control who and what people can see on an individual basis on facebook. jump on the bandwagon!
