Do you guys remember both of these movies coming out at around the same time? I do, a lot of people were saying "The Illusionist all the way!" "It's way better than The Prestige!" "The Prestige was dumb."
Here's a quick visual refresher:
The Illusionist
The Prestigeoh... that didn't help? Well to be honest, I don't remember much about either movies and get both mixed up all the time, but I do remember a few things.
THE PRESTIGE WAS WAY BETTER THAN THE ILLUSIONIST!
The Prestige had David Bowie as the Russian Scientist Tesla, the man who created the Tesla Coil, a powerful weapon that could shoot lightning from it.
This movie contained lots of backstabbing, spying, and "one-upping" between Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale's characters.
It was directed by Chris Nolan, so you know that it's not a poorly put together movie like The Mummy series, Transformer 2, or GI Joe.
An awesome ending revealing that Christian Bale's character was actually two characters! They were twins disguising to be one actual person! And that Hugh Jackman's character was actually making clones of himself and drowning them at the end of each show! DANG! TAKE THAT THE ILLUSIONIST!
