johan is busy working and going to school like usual. it's really sad because his work place had to lay off a group of people since some grants didn't come thru. it made us realize how tough the market is still and how thankful we are that we have jobs. i keep asking johan about one of his coworkers who's getting laid off in particular because his wife just had a second baby and they just bought a new car. it's super sad...we put our trust in God that things will turn out okay for them.
well, this past weekend johan and i made my mom's "special" (and secret) egg roll sauce for my friend's church fundraiser. they got orders for over 3000 egg rolls i think! they are trying to raise money for a new church. we started making the sauce on friday nite and packaged it all by saturday. we made 675 sauces--man our house was pretty stinky haha. it smelled like vinegar and fish sauce all weekend. lol. here's a pic hehe:
man i really miss these kids! i love my little brother and nephews sooooo much! gosh they're too cute. whenever i see them i just want to hug and squeeze them so tight!
my dad was right when he said children are the light of our lives. they are a lot of work, but man they really bring so much joy. johan talks about our nephews a lot and it's really cute. that's how i know he's excited about having kids in the future. =) we'll wake up in the morning and he'll start talking about the last time we saw the kids or when they did something funnie or cute. hehe.
so its still snowing, i can't believe it!!! we have to drive in a bit here, so hopefully we'll be ok. drive safe everyone! have a great week!

btw: i think you and johan will be great parents! i had a nice long chat with your mother in law at Riley's birthday and she says she can't wait for you guys to have kids! hehe. it was cute!
