i got this book from gaojai for my birthday and i finally got around to reading it on my trip out east. it was sooooo good! i read the first half on my way there and then the other half on my way back home. it was the first book ive read in a long time that made me cry. =/ im looking for some new books to read for the summer--does anyone have any suggestions?
on a different note, im doing alrite overall. there are some areas in my life that could be better, and then some areas where im really happy. i hope that by the end of summer i can say that ive tried to make efforts to be happier in the areas where im unsatisfied rite now....
i listened to a sermon by greg boyd today and basically i learned that i gotta keep goin! when times are tough or when times are great, i just have to keep going. dont blame God and don't blame yourself. just keep pressing on. He's coming back. He promised He wouldn't leave us as orphans....just keep pushing on. especially during these hard times guys. just keep pressing on....

I LOVED that book. I'm torn about the movie. I'm not a huge fan of Cameron Diaz, and she's playing the mom. I know it's acting, but ... maybe she'll surprise me.
I got the book for my birthday too, from my sister-in-law. It took me a while to get around to reading it and I'm so glad when I finally did. I gave the book to Maisue to read, but since she was busy Michelle read it instead. It was so funny and sad, cause I was reading the last few chapters out loud to Michelle and we just started bawling, but I was laughing too, because she was crying sooo hard. But I totally understand because she had a sick nephew...gosh anyway. So, Maisue has the book now and she's supposed to read it this summer, we'll see if she gets to it.
ehehe...the book is sitting on my dresser in my room at the house. I haven't gotten around to it. I blog too much and even then, it's not enough blogging. I haven't written in my $50 leather journal much bc I blog when I have free tim. Blogging and journaling are priorities. But I really want to read the book before the summer ends. We'll see...
I have not read the book, but maybe soon. If you haven't read, "The Glass Castle" yet, it's a great read. It's a memoir, but just written so beautifully. It's one of my favorite books of all times.
Working at the library, some of my coworkers LOVED jodi piccoult. Never read any of her stuff, though.
