TGIF

Awesome! I just found out that if you’re a Qwest member (we get our internet through Qwest), then you can access the internet at a bunch of restaurants, book stores, restaurants, and coffee shops now. I just looked to see where my local hotspots are and they’re pretty much at all nearby McDonalds, Starbucks (Caribou already offers free internet), and Barnes & Noble! Sweet!

So my sister-in-law, Mitchia Sae-Chao, and her husband, Yao Sae-Chao are moving to MN! Just a few years ago the majority of Pajjar’s family was out in California, all 9 of them, including herself. First Gao Jai moved to MN, then Ho-Shia moved to Providence, then Pajjar moved back to MN, then mom, dad, Ho-Xav, and Taying moved to MN, then they all moved to Warren, MI, then Ho-Shia moved to Warren, MI, and now Mitchia and Yao are moving to MN! Awesome!

Tonight Pajjar has to work. If Mitchia and Yao don’t need my help moving then I’m going to go to FNM at the Source. Yeps, they’re having their first Friday Night Magic. I don’t expect a lot of people to show up but I wouldn’t be surprised if the usual crowd of 20+ show up. I don’t know what to play yet. I want to play 5CB but don’t have any Ram-Gangs or Sygg, CTs. I might have to play a less aggressive build of 5CB instead but we’ll see. I’ll put up a battle report when I’m done.

Pro Tour: Honolulu starts tonight as well! I can’t wait! I’ve been doing horrible in my online draft. I went 1-2 with Naya and 0-3 with B/R. Still trying to figure out this new limited format. Maybe PT: Honolulu will shine some light on this for me.

This morning on my way to work I was listening to 89.3 The Current. If you haven’t heard me talk about this radio station yet, then let me say that I love this station. I don’t listen to a lot of radio because I’d rather listen to my iPod but this station is hands down the best that I have ever heard! I heard the new Death Cab for Cutie single:

This is a cover, but I think you get the point.

Because of Leng and Cheng’s ambition to chase after music instead of Magic, it’s been making me think twice about my goals and my hobbies. I love music! I love it more than Magic believe it or not. I think it’s because it’s easier for me to be creative with music than it is with Magic, not saying that you can’t be creative with Magic, you can. It’s just that music is a better creative outlet for me.

They also played the new Metric stuff. A couple of years ago, Josh introduced Broken Social Scene to me and I was really impressed! Over the years, Broken Social Scene, which pretty much composes of the best Canadian indie artists, have all done their own things and Metric is just one of them. Here’s the Metric song that I heard this morning:

There's just something about listening, seeing, eating, experiencing something that's creative to me that just awakens my spirit. I just love it!

Have a good weekend everybody!

omg Mitchia and Yao are moving to MN! How exciting! I'm so happy for you PJ! Finally, the sisters will be together again. Sisterhood! It's one of the most amazing relationships. I hope your summer is going well. It sounds like you and Johan are so busy with work and school! Thanks for depositing my fin aid check. I really miss you, My, and Phasoua.

awesome mega report Johan!!

I'll be reporting this weekend after Friday's FNM.

I've been thinking about picking up 5cc again. . . this meta game is crazy right now!

I'm so really into limited right now, it's crazy!! Did you read Adrian Sullivan's post yesterday on SCG about drafting 2c5c?

It's awesome and makes sense!! I drafted yesterday, and though I lost both of my games 4-3-2-2, (should have just did swiss), I feel like it's not because of how i drafted my deck, but because of just bad draws!! Picks 1-5 in Reborn were all mega-bombs that people were passing b/c they weren't in the right colors. It's sweet. I'll post more on this later!
