FALLCON IS UPON US!!!

This weekend is FallCon, I’ve never been to a comic book convention so I’m pretty excited to go! Vern went to one over the summer and came back with a lot of good loot!!! I don’t read comics as much as I used to but every now and then I’ll order one off of Amazon. Anyways, I think Vern, Dan, and maybe Lig, Pajjar, and little Wesly are planning to go.

Here are the main reasons why I want to go:
1. to hang out with my wife and friends
2. to take in the environment and enjoy myself
3. to find good Magic related stuff (Vern grabbed me a bunch of card dividers the last time he went)
4. to find some cool random toys like this guy

5. to find a few comics that I’ve been wanting to read like:

Batman: The Long Halloween – acclaimed as one of the best Batman comics ever written

Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle – Tony Stark’s playboy lifestyle and alcohol addiction catch up to him and is forced to deal with his inner demons

Superman: Red Son – what if Superman landed in Russia instead of the Kent farm in Kansas?

World War Hulk – someone murdered Bruce Banner’s wife and unborn child, in a violent rage Hulk takes his revenge on anyone getting in his way to seek answers and revenge. He defeats the X-Men, the Avengers, Professor X, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the US Military, and threatens to destroy New York City! DANG!!!

1) COMFORTABLE SHOES - An obvious but often overlooked detail!
2) BACKPACK OR BAG - You need a place to store all of your loot!
3) CASH - Not all places are accepting checks & cash is king!
4) LISTS - Bring a comprhensive list of the items you're looking for!
5) SKETCHBOOK & PENS -You never know which artist you'll run into!
6) YOUR PORTFOLIO. If you are an artist, many artists at FallCon are willing to do portfolio reviews
7) FOOD & WATER - Keep the reactor fueled!
8) A SWEATER - Just in case!
9) A CAMERA - Don't be shy about asking for photo opportunities!
10) FRIENDS - It's always more fun with a group of friends
