wat a weekend!

this weekend was pretty eventful! on friday nite, i had to work until 10pm. johan went to do sound for a wedding at our church and then went to vern's to hang out with the guys. vipat and isiah came up at the last minute to watch the UFC fight with the guys. i didn't really get to hang out with them this weekend, but i hope they had fun cuz i know johan did! =) haha.

saturday was crystal and shashi's wedding at graves hotel in downtown mpls. we sat next to my sister and her husband and my nephew xuying. here's a picture he took of johan. pretty good rite? haha.

during the cocktail hour while they flipped the room over for the reception we hung out and ate finger food. here's a picture of xuying with my brother hoseng. can you believe xuying posed for this picture? he wanted to take it like that! hahaha.

after the wedding, johan, xuying, and i went to delano, mn to visit a vineyard with our friends katie and kelvin. its called woodland hill winery and it was just the perfect day to be outside. our wine tasting was inexpensive and the site was just so amazing!

delano is a nice small town just about 25 mns from the twin cities. we went on a perfect fall day when the leaves were changing and the air was brisk. there was a hayride, hot dogs, chili, and a live band. we tried about 6 different wines and i bought one of their rose wines. afterward, we sat around their bonfire and roasted marshmallows and talked. xuying saw two dogs and kept saying "puppy! puppy!" and then he'd follow them around, but he was too scared to pet them. hehe. i pet the dogs tho and then he pet them too, so he wasn't so scared anymore. =)

there were lights everywhere and it was really fun. wat a great way to spend a day. i wish johan and i could have spent more time there. i would love to go back some time! there are other vineyards in mn too, so ill have to visit those as well. let me know if you'd like to come with! i can't wait to share my rose wine with my friends and sisters.

later that nite, johan and i went to watch the UFC game at verns with all the guys. i know at first johan and the guys thought it was a huge upset that machida won, but johan changed his mind after rewatching the fight. i finally got to meet tsu's wife, mayflower, and her and lig spent the nite sharing their war stories about labor. it was intense! that's all ive got to say. haha.

sunday was great. i got to spend time some GIRL TIME with anna! =) we went to the mall to get pedicures and manicures. we got coffee and walked around and shopped. then had lunch and went home. it was so relaxing! thanks cheng for watching the boys. hehe.

that afternoon, johan and i went to madeline's birthday party (my cousin's daughter). she turned 8 years old and was all dressed up in a pretty black sparkly dress. her mom told me she wanted a digital camera for her birthday, which i couldn't believe because i dont even remember wat kind of gifts i got when i was 8 years old! probably just a cake and then i played with my cousins in the basement or something! i just cant believe how spoiled kids are these days hehe.

then after that johan went to watch the bears game with the guys at second's house while the girls had a baby shower for debbie. i had to go to school to meet up with a group bc we're doing a presentation tomorrow nite. sigh. it was rough being at school from 7-10 pm, but you gotta do wat you gotta do rite?

so here we are, it's monday nite and i haven't gotten any homework done yet! its a good thing i can work on it all day tomorrow. this has been a super long post so ill end it here. thanks for reading, for those of you who did! haha.
