Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday:

I worked all day and then Pajjar and I went to Boca Chica’s for a late dinner with some of her school friends. I could have gone to the Source to Booster Draft but the dinner was at 9 pm. Oh well…

Saturday:

We woke up late and we both headed off to work for a few hours. Afterwards, I headed to church to volunteer. On my way there, I stopped at Burger King for dinner and they offered me free bacon on my Whopper Jr. & Double Cheeseburger. NICE! I got to church, did my stuff, and was able to meet up with Pajjar, her uncle, and her grandma for another dinner at King Buffet. I wanted to go to Outpost because they were having a Tournament of Champions (ToC) qualifier (Zendikar draft). The top two players get a chance to play in the ToC being held October 31st, I believe only 32 people will qualify to play in the ToC, where the top 4 split 4 boxes.

We then quickly ran some errands and then went to a bachelor/bachelorette party. It ended around 10:30’ish and then Pajjar and I headed over to Vern & Lig’s to hang out. Lig, Sarah, & Pajjar went to Perkins to hangout and talk, while Vern and I played Magic. *whew…* This was exactly what I needed to relax from the long week so far.

Sunday:

Pajjar and I went to church, which was awesome, and then we came home for lunch. Pajjar stayed home and relaxed, while Chong, Vern, & I went to Beyond Shinder’s in Minnetonka and Dreamers to do a “wild goose chase.” We all bought some random singles, we didn’t get killer deals, but we did find some cards. Afterwards, Chong came over to my place and we just hung out, watched tv, ate some pizza rolls, and traded some cards. Then at 7’ish we headed over to Vern’s place to watch the game. Seriously, the Bears did not deserve to win that game. In a way, I’m glad that they lost; hopefully it’s a good wake-up call. Football teams that make that many mistakes and don’t execute simple plays don’t deserve to win.

Afterwards, I went home and caught up with the Pro Tour: Austin stuff. I got about halfway through the quarter finals video and fell asleep.

It’s sad, next Saturday, Misty Mountain North is holding a Pro Tour Qualifier (PTQ) for San Diego (Zendikar Sealed) at 10 am and then a Grand Prix Trial (GPT) for Minneapolis at 2 pm, but I have to go to a wedding. Oh well! I’ll be having a good time no matter where I am! Peace!
