don't quit

not all of you may know, but some of you know that johan and i have been struggling lately. its been very difficult for us, but in the end i know we will persevere. not because of our own strength, but because God has great plans in store for us....

my friends at school (my & maisue) have been so wonderful because they see me everyday and i always tell them openly wats on my heart. sometimes i tell them things that i dont even share with my family. im so thankful for their listening ears and their words of encouragement. its such a blessing to have people in your life who are there for you during heart-wrenching times when all you can do is cry because your heart is so broken.

i wont go into details, but amazingly somehow God allows us to go on each day with food on the table and clothes on our backs. theres much to be said with that statement in itself. God is good and i yearn for peace in my heart and my mind. i have to keep praying. i have to keep my eyes on Jesus. it seems like whenever i get off track and lose focus on Him, everything in this world becomes so dark.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
