Yesterday I got to gunsling against Patrick Chapin and lost. I was playing W/R Kithkin and got him down to 8 life before his 5CC deck kicked into gear. He had only 2 main decks a Standard 5CC deck and an Extended Next Level Blue Deck. It was a lot of fun watching him pilot those two decks to win after win after win.
A couple of months ago Patrick Chapin was denied entrance into Japan for Pro Tour Kyoto because he answered honestly to Customs. Chapin currently lives in Detroit where Mike Herberholtz, Gabriel Nassif (6 months out of the year, Nassif's girlfriends lives in Detroit), and him playtest at a local store.
My wife, being the lawyer that she is, found a motion with Chapin’s name in it. Here’s the motion.
Here’s a quick summary of what happened: Chapin was supplying Ecstacy to Romesburg. Romesburg helped turn Chapin in. After a series of events, Chapin was arrested. A few months later, Romesburg was found dead. Chapin is still under investigation.
I'm watching the Bulls game right now and they just entered Double OT! GO BULLS! My wife and I are rooting for different teams.
