Hopefully everyone had a great Easter weekend! I sure did! Friday night, Pajjar and I went to Good Friday Service at Open Door. At first it was weird because when we walked in they were playing weird, creepy music. You could hear the hollow wind blowing and the things of the night, it sounded as if everything was dead; it was as if you were in a zombie movie or a TOMB!!! There were dead palm leaves & branches all over the floor, remnants of Palm Sunday. Just a week ago, these palms were used as a path of glory for our messiah, a week later, after being trampled on, they’re just dead palms.
The sanctuary was dark, silent, and foggy. We reflected on the last words of Jesus through corporate prayer, worship music, video, art, some opera, etc.
On Saturday Pajjar and I had class in the morning, then Pajjar had to work from 1 pm to close. I did homework and chores till about 7’ish. Then I went over to Vern’s, where everyone was playing Magic. The girls made udon for everyone with all of the fixings, it was delicious! We ended up going to Monster’s Den where we bought some boosters for a potpourri draft. It was mainly Time Spiral and Planar Chaos with a splash of some other sets. In the end it came down to Peter and me, I sneaked in a victory with my R/G agro deck. Peter’s deck was misfiring on the last two games. He had a bunch of flying weenies but I only had to deal with a couple as opposed to a whole bunch of them. The girls were watching Twilight downstairs.
Sunday was great! Pajjar and I went to Open Door and it was awesome! Friday was meant to leave you with this feeling of hopelessness and great sadness, which it did for me. And Sunday was the payoff. I’m making a video of Sunday right now and will probably put it up sometime later this week. After church, I did homework from 2pm to midnight!
*random* One of my life goals is to make enough money so that Pajjar doesn't have to work, while still being able to achieve our financial goals.
How was your Easter weekend?
