Works Been Crazy!

On Friday, we just finished up our audit. It wasn’t that bad, I honestly thought it was going to be worse. The auditors did grill me on a lot of questions and when they found the smallest mistake, they would vomit up like 20 questions, but besides that, it was okay. I still have to do the exit interview and they’re still calling me three to five times a day with questions, but I’m just glad that they’re not here anymore.

We also just recently switched our payroll company. I personally don’t like switching stuff like this because the transition is never smooth and I was right! I’ve been running around the past two days trying to get the payroll straightened out and it’s still got some kinks in it. That on top the auditors being here has made work a tough haul the past week and a half.

Did any of you guys read that article in Newsweek last week: The End of Christian America?

In 1990, 86% of Americans claimed to be Christians. Today, only 76% claim to be Christian. That’s a 10% drop in less than 20 years. That’s a pretty extreme drop in my opinion. There are some flaws in the polling method, but no poll is perfect, but still the stats speak for themselves. Here’s the article: http://www.newsweek.com/id/192583

With all of those Somali pirates out there it reminded me of that one scene from The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. This movie turned me on to David Bowie. I love the beginning part where Sue Jorge is singing “Space Oddity” by David Bowie in Portuguese.

Seriously! Who in the world could make this look so good! “I want an African American man playing David Bowie’s Space Oddity in Portuguese taking up the left third of the screen while a boat full of Pilipino pirates is sneaking up on them!” Genius!!!

If you're in Minnesota and are listening to the radio, please listen to 89.3 The Current, they're part of Minnesota Public Radio. In my opinion, this is the best radio station that I've ever listened to! HANDS DOWN, THE BEST! Here's a playlist of what they've played in the past few hours:

Morrissey - One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell
Youth Group - Two Sides
Elvis Costello - Lipstick Vogue
Bruce Springsteen - Johnny 99
Ben Kweller - Sawdust Man
Andrew Bird - Tenuousness
Depeche Mode - Wrong
Yeasayer - Tightrope
Ray Charles - Busted
Bov Iver - Beach Baby
Bjork - Isobel
Fleet Foxes - He Doesn't Know Why

It's so good, I listen to it all day at work. Dang! They're playing Kings of Leon right now! AWESOME!

Also just found out that Choua's water broke. Congrats Johnny and Choua! We'll be praying for you guys! Hope to see you guys soon!
