In a couple of days is Catalyst West Coast, and yes I’m jealous that I’m not going to be there. What is Catalyst? My friend… Catalyst is the BEST leadership conference for the next generation leader out there! I’ve gone to a bunch of these things in the past held by other groups, but this one blows them out of the water. I love HLUB, but if I could, I would take back the money that my parents and I have spent on HLUB and go to a Catalyst event instead. The quality of the speakers there are just amazing: Andy Stanley (from North Point Church, one of the greatest church leaders), Erwin McManus (from Mosaic, this guy understands the idea of culture), Brian Houston (from Hillsong Church in Australia), Craig Groeschel (from LifeChurch.tv, this church offers almost 50 weekend worship experiences at 12 different locations throughout the U.S.), Mr. Fancis Chan (no comment), and Guy Kawasaki (marketing genius, former “Apple Evangelist,” has a huge following on his blog and twitter), plus Hillsong United will be there leading worship.
I’ve been wanting to make a time lapse video like this:
A Whole Day In My Life - A Tuesday from Carlos Whittaker on Vimeo.
But I realized that it’s easier to just record 5 seconds of my day throughout my day and make a video like this:
My Day Yesterday - My Sunday from Carlos Whittaker on Vimeo
The only problem is that most of my days are too boring to get enough content.
This is so sad… “1500 farmers in India commit mass suicide due to a poor crop and large amounts of debt.”
The Bible makes it pretty clear about debt: Stay out of it and get out it! Pajjar and I have a lot school debt, we’ve been slowly trying to get out of credit card debt and it’s been working by the grace of God. We still have a little while to go before all of our credit cards are paid off, but we have to focus on finishing school first at the moment. Keep us diligent and persistent oh Lord!
Pajjar and I have recently grown discontent with blogspot/blogger. We might jump ship and start another blog elsewhere. Blogspot isn't as versitile as other sites, but we'll see. I personally want to get my own domain and put our blog there.
Have a good Monday everyone!
